Sunstroke deaths reported in Andhra Pradesh

 Hyderabad, May 14 : With temperatures continue to rise for the last one week sun-stroke deaths were reported from Mahbubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh.

Three people lost their lives in Mahabubnagar district of the state yesterday due to sunstroke even as various parts of the state continued to reel under scorching heat with the mercury level hovering between 40 and 46 degrees Celsius for the fourth consecutive day.

''Three labourers died due to sunstroke in Hanwada mandal, as they went to work and died while asleep. The temperature across Mahabubnagar district was in the range of 44-45 degrees Celsius,'' according to district administration.

As temperatures continued to soar, heatwave conditions aggravated across the state with sun-stroke deaths being reported from some districts. However, there was no official confirmation regarding the sun-stroke deaths.
