GSLV-D3 Launching Failure due to Diversion: ISRO

India on Thursday, has involved in and elite club of countries when it launched the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-D3) by utilizing the designs of Indians and construct cryogenic engine for the 1st time.

The rocket blasted from the Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) launch-pad in Sriharikota at 16:27 hrs IST.
However, the launch has proved futile with the failure of GSLV-D3 to launch any details after 500 seconds of taking off. The rocket got diverted from its track & the scientists observing the launch told that they had not gotten any pace and elevation details from the vehicle.

The GSLV-D3 had the 2.2-tonne communication satellite & GSAT-4 into the geo move path (GTO) on Thursday evening.

Up till now, ISRO had been utilizing Russian Cryogenic Engines in its GSLV operations as the US had forced Moscow not to sale out the Cryogenic Technology to India in 1992.
