Hyderabad, Apr 22 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minsiter K Rosaiah today recalled the journalistic adage 'news is sacred while comment is free' and stressed that news
and views should not be clubbed, but published separately.
The Chief Minister who launched a complete news portal, 'newsalso.com' as well as a complete film website,'cinemalive18.com' promoted by a group of senior journalists from Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister said as literacy levels increase and Information Technology expands, a large number of people come to depend on internet for latest information in various fields.
Stating that internet, as a new media, has acquired greater importance over the years, the Chief Minister hoped that the two websites would provide accurate information for people across the world. He wished the promoters all the best in their future endeavours.
Congratulating Dr K Ramadas, Editor, Newsonly.com website, the Chief Minister wanted him to maintain best standards that would bring reliability and credibility to the portal.
Dr K Ramadas said a battery of reporters and sub-editors would be working for these websites to provide round-the-clock information about the happenings in the state. NewsAlso.com will try to provide latest news, analyses and special stories filed by correspondents across the state and other places of the country.
''We will give an impartial coverage of our state's development in various sectors, interviews with eminent personalities and pictures from news happenings'' as our specialty'', Dr Ramadas said.
About Cinemalive18.com, he said it will be a unique film website that would provide information pertaining to Tollywood, Bollywood, Hollywood and world cinema and documentaries under one roof.
''Basically, this will be a youth oriented website meant to entertain all sections of the people especially as Hyderabad is emerging as the film destination of India'', Dr.Ramadas said.
